The OAHPERD is offering a free benefit to members and nonmembers. Education is important to the development and improvement of our health and physical education programs. OAHPERD has compiled a list of “experts” in the various fields within these discipline as well as a list of workshop topics which may be of interest to OAHPERD members.
As a host of a workshop, all you need to do is secure the location and equipment necessary for the presentation and advertise it within your school or district. OAHPERD will coordinate the presentation and speaker with you and the speaker, and will provide reimbursement for reasonable costs incurred by the speaker. Most workshops are three hours in length.

This development opportunity is designed as two full-day workshops scheduled 4 months apart. Participants will meet on November 19, 2010 and learn how to incorporate characteristics of effective health programs into their health education curriculum then come back together on February 11, 2011 to share the successes and challenges they experienced when they implemented the skills and strategies they learned in their classrooms.
